WE are an independently family run garage located in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. We have been trading for 29 years here on Aycliffe Business Park and the garage is run by a friendly professional team.

We carry out MOT testing, servicing, repairs, engine diagnostics, tyres, exhausts on any make or model of vehicle. Our team of mechanics are keen VW enthusiasts specialising in most models and are currently converting VW transporter vans with some amazing unique touches.
Here at Gregg LIttle Testing Centre we also have a Body Shop, where Jefferson our a paint shop specialist will be happy to give a estimate for any bump or scrape. We are happy to undertake any job from small dents and scratches to full body restoration and can provide FREE courtesy cars whilset your vehicle is in the bodyshop.
Employing technicians who are keen motorcyclists, the decision was made to start Mot testing motorcycles which has now progressed to the servicing and repairing of motorcycles.

In September 2014 we were awarded ‘Best Service Business’ on Aycliffe Business Park an award we are hugely proud of.
We are a Unipart Car Care Centre which means all parts fitted come with a nationwide 12000 mile or 12 month guarantee (whichever is sooner). All repairs and services are carried out in accordance with the manufacturers specified and recommended times for each job. Additionally we will never carry out repairs on your car without your prior consent.

All vehicles receive a free mini valet. We also offer free local collection and delivery in Newton Aycliffe and surrounding areas, and FREE courtesy cars are available too if pre-booked.
Staff and Expertise
Gregg has been in Aycliffe for 31 years, it all began as an MOT testing centre.
Originally from Bearpark in Durham, he started life as a miner, his passion for cars shone through and after 6 years working as a miner decided to give it all up and become a mechanic, He has worked at many different garages and owning 2 or 3.
We are so happy with our success in Newton Aycliffe, we have gained some lovely customers and we really feel we go that extra mile for our customers.
Gregg has high standards and keeps GLTC one of the cleanest garages in County Durham
Gregg has always been involved in charity events supporting the town. He now lives in North Yorkshire and loves to go sailing as often as he can.
Emma is Gregg’s youngest daughter, and has worked full time in business for 4 years.
My previous role was working for Lush Cosmetics as a International Business Development manager and Trainer.

Les has worked at Gregg Little Testing Centre for over 23 years since starting as a young work experience lad, he has grown and developed with the business and now works as part of the management team with his brother Norman.

Claire has worked at GLTC for 7 years, she is our office manager, but really she keeps us all in check!

She is also our fire marshal and first aider!
Vehicle Diagnostics Specialist
Norman has worked at GLTC for 25 years !
He is a MOT tester for both cars and motorbikes
He is also a fully qualified motor mechanic and together with brother Les is part of the workshop management team.
He specialises in Auto Electrics and being an engineer can figure out most problems.
He is a keen VW enthusiast carrying out projects on his Beetle and Transporter, most weekends Norman can be found mountain biking or working on his house project or taking walks with wife Jo and dog Sheila!

Customer Relationship Assistant
Alice is Gregg’s granddaughter, she has worked at GLTC for over 4 years.
She is our main customer services representative, looking after everyone.
She manages all our events for charity, she recently had us all involved in Comic Relief with all lads and lasses baking.
The week finished off with Tug of War – Girls v Boys and the Girls won !
She also looks after our social media interaction and is our first aider.
Body shop Technician
Jeff started working for GLTC in 2015, he’s a local Aycliffe lad.

Accident Repair & Paint Refinish
Jeff can help with a scratch, dent or a full restoration project. Jeff is happy to liase with insurance companies on behalf of any customer
His latest is a 1979 Mini full restoration job is his favourite job.
He attended Woodham Academy before deciding his destiny of Cars.
He previously worked at ARC in Darlington and is a keen supporter of Darlington Football Club.
MOT Tester and Motor Mechanic
James is Gregg’s nephew, he has worked at GLTC for over 15 years.
LEVEL 3 VEHICLE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
He is our principal MOT tester, and also is the quality controller for all other MOT testers.
James is also a fully qualified motor mechanic and another keen VW enthusiast, working on his beloved VW Golf’s !!
More recently James became a DAD, so spends lots of time with his new son Mason and not so much on his Vw’s !
Anthony joined the team April 2014 as a fully qualified motor mechanic
Level 2 and Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance
He came with a wealth of experience from KWIK fit so is a tyre wizz.
Anth trains and develops our Apprentices Paul and Ben.
He looks after himself going to gym and cycling
Apprentice Motor Mechanic
Ben has been with us for nearly 3 years, he came to us on work experience via Disc Charity here on the Business Park.
Ben progressed quickly which led on level 1, 2 and now 3 motor mechanics.
Ben is now in his final year of apprenticeship level 3 and is soon to be fully qualified.
He has a love of motorbikes as well as cars

I am currently studying at Darlington Borough Council level 1 in Motor Mechanics.
I used to come here once a week on work experience from Woodham Community Technology College and I loved it.
I always look forwards to coming to work as I learn something new every day.
I am currently GLTC tyre fitter as well as learning how to service and repairs cars.
Paul is a keen singer and dancer and loves his ‘tunes’!
Body shop apprentice
Matthew has been with us for 6 months and is studying at Gateshead College for his level 2 Bodyshop qualifications. He’s a local lad and keen BMX rider.
Matthew gained his earlier qualifications studying at Darlington College
Bill has worked for us for over 3 years, he assists James with the MOT, testing, collects and delivers car all over Newton Aycliffe and is the best valet man we have !
He previously worked for Oakleys in Bishop Auckland so has a great knowledge of cars.
Bill is also a keen Ten Pin Bowler regularly organising events at Planet Leisure.
He also loves his speedway too!
